Even better, BlueStacks runs Android apps and games with surprisingly good performance. BlueStacks App Player lets you run your favorite mobile apps fast and fullscreen in your browser and on PC or Mac.

Over 12 million people around the world use top apps like Candy Crush Saga, Kik Messenger, Temple Run 2 and more on their laptops with BlueStacks. It acts as an emulator of the Android Davlik, which is a virtual machine, on Windows. It does not run the whole hardware of an Android device, but it does run individual apps on your computer. An innovative "Cloud Connect" feature allows you to push apps from your Android device to Bluestacks, and vice versa.

Windows 8 : Looks and Feels

Windows 8 Desktop

Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft Windows, a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, Microsoft Tablet PCs, and Home theater PCs.
According to unofficial sources, the release date for Windows 8 has been set for October 2012, three years after the release of its predecessor, Windows 7. Windows 8's server counterpart, Windows Server 2012, is in development concurrently with Windows 8.
The most recent official pre-release version of Windows 8 is the Release preview, which was released on May 31, 2012.

Windows 8 will employ a new user interface based on Microsoft's Metro design language.
The Metro environment will feature a new tile-based Start screen similar to the Windows Phone operating system. Each tile will represent an application, and will be able to display relevant information such as the number of unread messages on the tile for an e-mail app or the current temperature on a weather application.

10 Reasons to Buy Windows 7

  1. A better desktop. Windows 7 gets you around your PC faster than ever. The taskbar has bigger buttons and full-sized previews—and you can pin programs to it for one-click access. Jump Lists provide shortcuts to files, folders, and websites. And Snap, Peek, and Shake give you easy (and fun) new ways to juggle all those open windows.
  2. Smarter search. Type in the Start menu search box, and you'll see results instantly, grouped by category—documents, pictures, music, e‑mail, and programs. Search in a folder or library, and you can fine-tune your search with filters like date or file type—and use the preview pane to peek at the contents of your results.
  3. Easy sharing with HomeGroup. Sharing files and printers on your home network should be simple. With HomeGroup, it finally is. Connect two or more PCs running Windows 7, and with a minimum of fuss you can start sharing music, pictures, videos, and documents with other people in your home.
  4. Built for speed. Windows 7 has key performance improvements to take up less memory and run background services only when you need them. It's designed to run your programs faster and to sleep, resume, and reconnect to wireless networks quicker. And with 64-bit support, you can take full advantage of the latest in powerful 64-bit PCs.
  5. Better wireless networking. Connecting to wireless networks on your laptop—formerly a bit of a hassle—now takes just a couple of clicks. Choose from the list of available networks in the taskbar, click one, and then connect. Once you've connected to a network, Windows will remember it so you can connect again later automatically.
  6. Windows Touch. Use your fingers to browse the web, flip through photos, and open files and folders on a touchscreen PC—for the first time, Windows includes true multitouch technology. With gestures for zooming, rotating, and even right-clicking, it's a whole new way to work with your PC.
  7. Plays well with devices. Device Stage, a new feature in Windows 7, works like a home page for things like portable music players, smartphones, and printers. When you plug a compatible device into your PC, you'll see a menu with information and popular tasks like battery life, how many photos are ready to be downloaded, and printing options.
  8. Media streaming. With new features in Windows Media Player 12, you can enjoy your media library around the house—or around town. Play To lets you stream music, videos, and photos from your PC to your stereo or TV (you may need additional hardware). And with Remote Media Streaming, you can even stream media over the Internet from one computer running Windows 7 to another that's miles away.
  9. Internet Explorer 9 and Windows Live.Windows 7 unleashes the full power of Internet Explorer 9, from its stunning hardware-accelerated graphics to the ability to launch favorite websites right from your taskbar. You'll also get the many possibilities of Windows Live, free: create photo albums and movies, chat in HD, and share your stuff anytime, anywhere.
  10. Nag-free notifications. Action Center, new in Windows 7, puts you in control of maintenance and security messages. You can turn notifications on or off for things like Windows Defender or User Account Control. If Windows needs your attention, you'll see a notification on the far right of the taskbar. Click it, and you'll get suggested fixes for any problems.

Microsoft's New Social Network

American Multinational Corporation, Microsoft has launched its own social network So.cl (pronounced as ‘social’) specifically meant for students. The company however clarifies that the social network in no way competition to Facebook. The project is meant to complement Microsoft's competitors.
“We expect students to continue using products such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other existing social networks, as well as Bing, Google and other search tools,” an English daily quoted Microsoft as saying.
It's a mix between Google+ and Storify. Users are encouraged to search for information about a particular topic, then compile the best results - textual content, images and videos - into a single post. So.cl, which launched in beta at the end of last year.

You can sign in using either Windows Live or Facebook,at http://www.so.cl/ and it is automatically connected to those accounts. That is an interesting move, and one that indicates that So.cl is not actually aiming to eliminate Facebook, but to compliment it in some way.
The site suggests that you subscribe to things you like so that when others search for, share, and/or post those things, the results will be in your feed. I don't think this is executed perfectly but out of all of the Big Ideas within so.cl, it seems like by far the best one.
Navigating the site is pretty far from intuitive -- for example, when trying to find interesting people I could follow (since no one I actually know is there yet), it automatically suggests ten popular people with no option to either see more, or check out their profiles without following them. There's also no way to import a profile photo -- you have to either have a Microsoft Live photo, or give it an existing URL.
The site is set up primarily to connect searching directly to social sharing.
Another big feature of so.cl is "video parties," which are "rooms" where you and other users are logged in and anyone can add youtube videos to a queue.
